After his high school graduation, Kory decided to move to Grande Prairie where he had an opportunity to work as an apprentice electrician. Although the work wasn’t exciting or even that interesting, he was willing to stay the course. Then, he happened to fill in on a shut down as a pipefitter helper. He was hooked.
From that single job, he was set on one day having his own company. By the age of 24, he was supervising and running large oil and gas facilities, but it wasn’t until 2010 that he was ready to set out on his own. He established his own business and started contracting out pipefitter crews and welders.
In 2017, the decision was made to fire up Inked Energy Services Ltd and he hasn’t looked back since! Along with his extensive experience in the field, Kory is a ticketed steamfitter/pipefitter (completed through NAIT).
The goal was always to build a company that is very family-oriented and is a place where everyone enjoys showing up to work; to provide a top-quality product at the highest levels of safety and to build a returning base of customers.
Inked Energy’s success with prefabrication of piping, steel, and modularization has shown their client base what they can do, and that they’re always striving to be the best. Kory credits the Inked team with the success that they’ve achieved. Everyone brings something to the table and everyone’s hard work to complete projects safely and successfully doesn’t go unnoticed.
When he’s not working, Kory keeps busy with outdoor activities and is very involved with the community that’s now his home.
